We live in a second floor apartment and the bird feeder hangs off our balcony railing, so it’s hard for us to prevent them from climbing. They scare the birds away and are breaking my birdfeeders. Any help would be appreciated.

My friend and I are doing our final anthropology project on the study of life through Central and South America. We are going on a two month journey, starting in Mexico City, then following roads down, until we finally end in Brazil.

I speak adequate Spanish, and have multiple pages of pre-set dialect so I’m not worried about communication. I am however, worried about two things. How to successfully live off a very tight budget, and, how to avoid unpleasant confrontations with locals. We are going to be traveling light, few sets of clothing, first aid kid, tent, extra inner tubes (we are backpacking/cycling), a few pots (for the few days we find ourselves out of reach of a community), sleeping bags (one each), and six days of dry food rations. Each of bicycles has a rear grate to hold some of the items, the rest go in our backpacks. Any tips appreciated!

I need to find a full list of mountain climbing equipment during the winter.Ice axes, caribiners ect. Also shoes, boots and all those things.i need a complete list with nothing missing!!

im going backpacking for an extended time of over 2 months with a friend. im 20 years old and so is my friend. i have a super warm, 250 dollar sleeping bag for up to 0 degrees outside. so instead of a tent, couldnt i just buy a tarp to cover over the ground, and lay our sleeping bags over that and sleep in the woods or wherever?? or should i get a tent?

I live in west Texas, so it gets pretty hot and dry.
I’m overhauling my yard and pulling up this ungodly bushes that were planted there twenty years ago to inhibit people looking into our giant window from the street.

My dad wants something that’ll last long and survive a drought, and cover a good bit of the window.
I was thinking some sort of climbing ivy, and my dad wants roses.
Would either of these be okay? Any other suggestions?

Hi! I plan on traveling to Europe this winter/spring for a backpacking trip. I plan on purchasing a EuRail pass, but other than that, I do not know how to get around. I would love some tips on traveling around. I also would love to know what the best way to travel the UK is, as the EuRail pass doesn’t cover the UK. Thanks!

Cat keeps climbing on my boyfriend’s car, in the garage. He is very concerned that it is going to scratch or tear the top of his convertible.

because of my meagre budget capabilities theres no way I will be doing this in one trip so it will be two trips with a lot of saving and working back at home in between.

I am considering buying a car soon since I live on the Hayward Hills. I would like to know what brands of compact cars are good climbing steep hills overall? Just need opinions. It is much appreciated!

I was thinking about getting a Eurail pass but now I am thinking I may not need one. Is this too short a time period? Should I not go to all three cities? Is Brussels worth seeing?
